This ending is bittersweet.  Everyone has provided so much love and support throughout the years, and we will miss each and every one of you.  Best friends were made in our shop, and to have been part of that was the greatest honor.

However, there are two new ventures forming to continue spreading yarn and fiber love in the world.  Arlene is working on her fiber studio and will provide a source of spinning and felting supplies later this year (we will send out an announcement when things are ready).  In the meantime, she can be reached at (937) 231-2768.  Kristin, the busy bee you may have met on a Saturday or Sunday, has opened a fiber arts studio to provide classes, social gatherings, and expert knitting help to the Dayton community.  She is working continuously to add classes and events, so check her website, www.infinityfibers.com, and join her mailing list to see what is upcoming.

Thank you again to everyone who make Fiberworks such a unique place, full of fiber love and friendship.  You were always the best part of our shop.

All Good Things….

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Fiberworks, effective December 31, 2021.  The last 17 years of being your local yarn store have been an amazing experience.  We thank you for the friendships, laughter, and shared memories which we will always hold dear.  Crafting and creating is often an expression of love and being part of your projects has been an honor.  We have loved being your yarn store, and we love the community you built with us.

As we work out the final details, please expect additional announcements.  All special orders and reserved merchandise, including stash bags, must be picked up by November 23rd and will be assumed forfeited after that date.  No returns or exchanges will be accepted after that date, and fixtures and other furniture items will be available for sale after Thanksgiving.  We will continue to be open our regular hours, but we will be closed November 25th for Thanksgiving and December 25th for Christmas.

Again, we thank each and every one of you for your support and love and look forward to seeing your next adventure.

Socks Classes

Fiberworks is excited to offer Top-Down and Toe-Up Sock Knitting Classes on Saturday mornings from 10 am to noon.  Beginners will start with the top-down socks, while more experienced sock knitters will improve their skills with the toe-up socks.  Each method will use either double pointed needles, two circular needles, or Magic Loop, and knitters will learn the basics of knitting in the round, turning a heel, short rows and picking up stitches.  Students must be able to knit in the round before attending class.  Students work at their own pace, and each class session is $10.

Class size is limited to 4 students and students must register ahead of the class time.  Please call (937) 429-YARN (9276) to register.  Masks are REQUIRED for all students.

In our store, please remember that we are observing safe hygiene practices (masks are REQUIRED) and social distancing with a maximum of 12 people in the shop at a time.

Beginning Knitting

Fiberworks offers Beginning Knitting lessons every Saturday from 2-4pm.  Whether you’ve never knit a stitch in your life or you’re returning after a hiatus this small class will help you become familiar with the craft.  Students work at their own pace, and each class session is $10.
