Winter is coming! Keep your head and ears warm with this cabled wool hat! Elizabeth McDonough, aka The Knitting Purl, will be teaching a two-session class on Thursday, October 11 and 18, 2018.

Take advantage of this hat class to learn the German twisted cast-on, knitting in the round with circulars and double pointed needles, how to cable without a cable needle (YES YOU CAN DO THIS), the secret to ribbing and reading charts. If you know how to knit and you know how to purl, you have the basics required for this class. This pattern is suitable for either male or female and would make a great gift.

The hat will be knitted using Universal Yarns Deluxe Worsted Tweed Superwash, a yarn that will showcase the cables and ribbing. The pattern is “Ditto” by Anne Gagnon (available for free on Ravelry). Yarn must be purchased at Fiberworks and is available in a variety of colors. Fiberworks will be offering a 10% discount on all supplies needed for the class.

The class will start at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 11 and 18, 2018 at Fiberworks. Class size is limited to eight knitters. Contact Fiberworks to register at 937-429-9276 or email
