Elizabeth Zimmerman is best known for expanding the world of knitting and creating new and inventive patterns and techniques.  One of her most popular patterns is the Baby Surprise Jacket.  For those not familiar, the BSJ (as it has been nicknamed) is a cardigan knit entirely in one piece using increases and decreases, and then, with origami-like magic, folded and seamed to create the sweater.

Fiberworks is excited to offer a class on this sweater.  Students will knit a baby-sized sweater to learn all of the skills, but the techniques and process are identical to make the adult version.  We are offering two sessions for this class, each with four lessons.  The day session will meet from 2 to 4 pm, and the evening session will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Each session is limited to 6 students, and the class fee must be prepaid in cash to reserve your spot.

The pattern and materials are available at Fiberworks, and a 10% discount is offered on all class materials.  Students must purchase materials prior to class, and knit a swatch to meet gauge prior to the first lesson.

Class will meet on Mondays, January 22nd, February 5th and 19th, and March 5th, from either 2 to 4 pm or 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Class fee is $50.
