Spring is definitely here with its warmer weather and sunnier days.  The flowers and newly green leaves always have me seeing the colors of yarn in new and inventive ways.  With that, Fiberworks is very excited about a new yarn and a new class.

Processed with MaxCurve

This highly coveted yarn is fresh from the dye vats of Hedgehog Fibres in Cork, Ireland.  Often seen in the vibrant colors of Stephen West’s designs, the electric colors can only be appreciated in person.  We have both the Skinny Singles and Sock bases, which are both fingering weights perfect for a summer shawlette to keep the air condititing off your shoulders.  This yarn will sell fast, so be sure to stop in and see it yourself soon.

With both the Hedgehog yarn and our recent shipment from Koigu, stitch patterns to show off the color variations in these yarns have been fresh on our minds.  One of the most popular stitches for these colored yarns is linen stitch, which looks much more difficult than it is.  We are offering a Linen Stitch Class to show you this stitch and provide all the tips necessary to make your project a success.  Class is on Tuesday, May 23rd, from 2-4 pm.  $20. Call (937) 429-9276 to reserve your space.
