Mark your calendars!!!
There are a lot of exciting events coming up this summer and early fall!
Monday, July 4th – Fiberworks will be closed for Independence Day
Saturday, July 9th – A Day with Francis the Shepherd – From 10 am to 5 pm, Francis Chester, the founder of Cestari Sheep & Wool Company, will be at Fiberworks to share his yarn, the history of the company and the life of a shepherd with us. Cestari yarns are made entirely in the U.S., from raising the sheep to spinning and dying the yarn, and is a small, family owned and operated business. They make great efforts to preserve the quality of the wool during processing, resulting in a springy yarn with soft, natural texture. Francis is bringing a truckload of his yarn – every yarn in every color to drool over – and we will provide refreshments to help keep your energy up.
Tuesday to Sunday, August 9th to 14th – I75 Yarn Crawl – Fiberworks will be participating in one of the largest yarn crawls in the U.S., with nearly 40 shops from Kentucky to Michigan, all along 400 miles of the I75 corridor. Passports are on sale now. More information can be found on their website.
Saturday and Sunday, September 17th and 18th – A Wool Gathering – The area’s largest yarn and fiber festival, A Wool Gathering is held every fall at Young’s Jersey Dairy in Yellow Springs, Ohio. You’ll want to keep this weekend free.
