Fiberworks is excited to be offering two of our most popular classes and a brand new knitting class this April. Classes are on Saturdays, and each class is $35 plus materials. Stop by in store to reserve your spot and purchase your class materials. Don’t forget that class materials are 10% off!
Baby Sweater class
This popular class will teach you to knit an adorable baby sweater, hat and booties set, as well as various embellishments that can be used in a wide variety of knitted projects. Students must be able to knit, purl, cast on and cast off. Classes are Saturday, April 9th from 2:15pm to 3:15pm and Saturday, April 23rd from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Doggie Sweater class
This new class will show you how to knit a sweater for your fur baby. Sized from XX-small to X-large, your dog will love showing off his new coat! Classes are Saturday, April 9th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm and Saturday, April 16th from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
Felted Hat class
Marcie’s felted hats continue to be a crowd favorite among our customers. This class provides an excellent start to the world of knitted felting and can be finished in a variety of ways, including the popular ear-flap style! Classes are Saturday, April 9th from 3:30pm to 4:30pm and Saturday, April 16th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
As always, we also have our Beginning Knitting and Sock Knitting classes every Saturday. Sock knitting is from 10:00am to 12:00pm and beginning knitting is from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Both are taught on a drop-in basis to fit everyone’s schedules and are only $10 per session. These classes are perfect for both complete beginners, knitters returning to the craft and those looking to learn new skills.

Ponchos are promising to be this spring’s hottest accessory and Michelle Hunter’s 14 Carat KAL is the perfect way to make your own. Starting April 7th, join Michelle and knit along as you watch this gorgeous and interesting design evolve. Using Skacel’s HiKoo CoBaSi, this garment will have superior drape and simple construction, promising to be flattering on everyone. The pattern will be available in 2 sizes to allow for a better fit, and will take either 6 or 8 skeins. Deb will be guiding a class for this KAL at Fiberworks beginning April 8th, full details will be available closer to the date.
CoBaSi is a wonderful fingering weight combination of cotton, bamboo and silk with a slight texture. The yarn works up lovely, soft to the touch and light to wear, perfect for spring. Fiberworks is excited to be offering more sock knitting classes. Please be sure to preregister and receive the materials list by calling the store at (937) 429 – YARN (9276) or stopping in.
We will be offering both Top-Down and Toe-Up Sock Classes on Saturday mornings from 10 am to noon. Each session is $10. Beginners will start with the top-down socks, while more experienced sock knitters will improve their skills with the toe-up socks. Each method will use either double pointed needles, two circular needles, or Magic Loop, and knitters will learn the basics of knitting in the round, turning a heel, short rows and picking up stitches.

Beginning Knitting lessons will be offered every Saturday from 2-4pm. Whether you’ve never knit a stitch in your life or you’re returning after a hiatus this small class will help you become familiar with the craft. Each class is $10, come as often as you are able.
